The Indian car industry has gathered steam only in the last decade. Just imagine - 15 years back, there were only two cars being manufactured in India, the vintage Hindustan Ambassador and the venerable Premier Padmini. The Ambassador was the Indian version of the Morris Oxford, while the Padmini was based on an ancient Fiat model. Compare that to today, when every major automobile manufacturer has its cars on the road in India. 2005 is the year when India is poised to see more automobile launches that before.

Let's take a look at the vehicles that are expected.Toyota InnovaToyota has three vehicles in the Indian market - the Toyota Qualis, Camry and Corolla. The Qualis is the most outdated of the lot, with the looks of a breadbox. However, this model was extremely succesful in India due to its reliability and was used by many taxi operators in the country. Toyota has just withdrawn the vehicle from the market, and is about to introduce the Innova, a much more modern MPV in the minivan mould that can hold its own amongst the latest international vehicles. The pricing is expected to be around that of the now-extinct Qualis, making it approachable for the Indian middle-class.Skoda FabiaSkoda will be launching its small car Fabia in India by mid-2005.

While the ocompany has yet not decided on whether the model in India should be a sedan, hatchback or estate, this car is bound to have a following. This is partly due to the tremendous reputation Skoda enjoys in India due to its highly succesful Octavia range. The power unit too is still undecided, but what we believe is that it will be priced at the same level as Honda's highly succesful small car, the Honda City.Chevrolet AveoMaruti Suzuki SwiftMaruti is India's most succesful automobile company, and Suzuki recently acquired a controlling stake in it. The Swift will be Maruti's first radical, contemporary vehicle. The company has always preferred to play it safe, and has introduced tried-and-tested vehicle models from the Suzuki stable.

The Swift is based on Suzuki's famous Concept S design unveiled at teh 2002 Paris Auto Show, and will be launched in India with the reliable Maruti Esteem's (an older Suzuki Swift version) 1300 cc petrol engine in India.Toyota FortunerThe Fortuner will be launched in the later half 2005 in India. It is a small-SUV which should give a run to the Honda CR-V which rules th SUV market in India now. The Fortuner is based on the same platform as the Innova. Excellent styling, car-like interiors and slightly cheaper pricing that its competitors will see it doing well in the Indian market. This ladder-on-chassis, common rail diesel engine (CRDI) seems to the perfect recipe for the penny-pinching but power-loving Indian.Ford FusionThe Fusion has already been launched in India.

It is a small car, but with SUV style. The car is positioned in India as vehicle for the active young driver who has a family. The car is powered by a 16 Valve, 1600 cc light-weight alloy engine that is good enough for around 100 bhp. The reviewers have loved it, and the market seems to be falling for it too, though it is too early to tell. There are some other cars too - such as the Chevrolet Aveo and the Hyundai Tucson - but details are still not forthcoming at this point..

We all want to belong. As humans we feel the need to fit in somewhere, anywhere. I call it the "herd mentality"... we tend to follow what everyone else is doing.Well, Bob and Bill across the street each have satellite dishes... that means I have to get one too.Everyone is driving around in a SUV...

that means I have to drive one too.Everyone is wearing baggy pants... that means I have to wear them too.Everyone is carrying around a cell phone... that means I have to carry one around too.My friends are drinking Smirnoff Ice... that means I have to drink it too.Can anybody say mooooo? The herd mentality is an interesting phenomena that YOU as an internet marketer can take advantage of.You need to convey to your potential customers that everyone else is buying your product and they would be missing out if they didn't do the same. How you may ask?Well, one way is by using testimonials on your website. Lots of them! Most people will gladly give you a testimonial.

All you have to do is ask.Testimonials establish trust and credibility too, which by the way, are the two biggest things you need to close out a sale online. When people see that everyone else is buying the product from you they tend to want to get it for themselves.Let me share a story with you. A while back I was about to purchase some advertising. I was just about to click the order button and then I stopped myself.I asked myself why I wanted to make the purchase...Well, first and foremost was the price. It was a good deal. It piqued my interest but it didn't seal the deal for me.What did it? It was all of the testimonials I read of satisfied customers.

It was the "icing on the cake"... the extra push needed for me to say mooo and to whip out my credit card. Now, whether you understand my "herd mentality" concept or not... it really doesn't matter, the point I'd like to drive across is this...Do not underestimate the power of testimonials! They are one way to increase your sales by just using your existing traffic.Ask for them! Use them! They work!.

This Hot Selling Vehicle from Lexus is given a Special Edition to entice more buyers. Early January this year Lexus sprung a pleasant surprise on its followers by announcing and unveiling a Special Edition of the 2005 Lexus RX 330. They did this last January 9, 2005 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. Lexus is calling this special edition of the Lexus RX 330 the "Thundercloud" Edition. Here only in its second season, it reinstates its foothold as the best selling luxury SUV from last year.

The Lexus RX 330 was redesigned and introduced as an all-new model for 2004. Sleeker, more stylish and more powerful than the best-selling model it replaced, the RX 330 glides into its second season with added luxury. Lexus just won't rest on its laurels, even with the league leading sales of the Lexus RX 330, the 2005 special edition is expected to add new depth and dimension to the lineup and with the supplements of several enhancements designed to give future clients a very desirable new choice. When it was launched last year, the Lexus RX set a higher bar of standard for the modern luxury utility vehicle. The innovative RX 300 pioneered the crossover style of SUV based on a uni-body car platform rather than a heavy-duty truck frame. Crossovers provide improved ride and handling.

They offer more cargo room than a car. They also give the driver a better view over the traffic and a sense of security from an elevated driving position. Overall, it's a car that mutated to a truck. The original did all of those things, but this new, second-generation RX does them much better. Swift and silent, it rides more quietly than most cars, not to mention other SUVs. It glides over bumpy roads and its airy cabin is luxurious and captivating.

While crossover vehicles offer neither the big towing capacity nor the off-road capability of a true truck, the RX 330 handles gravel roads just fine and can tow up to 3500 pounds with the optional trailer package.Every one of the 2005 Thundercloud Edition RX 330s are obtainable with the performance, luxury and convenience features found in the standard RX 330, including the Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS), Mark Levinson audio, rear seat DVD entertainment system and more. Two new colors are also available for the 2005 RX 330 but only for the special edition. The Thundercloud Metallic is a rich gray metallic color and is matched with light gray interior with leather-trimmed seats and black bird's eye maple wood trim. Flint mica is another alternative color available that's exclusive for the special edition. The grille lends an elegant look with chrome horizontal bars that convey its connection to other Lexus models. "Thundercloud" badges on the front doors and floor mats identify this special edition.

New five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels with contrasting rings complete the package with fresh details. The list of standard luxuries is long, and includes automatic climate control, premium audio, cruise control, traction and stability control, privacy glass, automatic headlamps, fabric upholstery, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The list has been lengthened for 2005 with eight-way power for the front passenger seat, ten-way power for the driver seat, wood and leather trim for the steering wheel and shift knob, AM/FM/CD stereo, and a power rear liftgate, which was previously optional, that's easier to use than before.Vehicles will be available with Lexus dealers by late January 2005, with a planned quantity of 6,500 units. The special edition price will start at $300 above the base MSRP of $35,775 for the two-wheel drive model, and $37,175 for the all-wheel drive model. This is an investment that is worth every cent.Accessories and new parts do make the difference. Slap on a few luxuries and your car, truck or SUV will transform to the vehicle of your dreams.

Many special edition vehicles are called so because of the features that is not offered with the standard base models. But you too can avail of these Toyota parts and accessories to jazz up your Toyota vehicle. You too may have a special one of a kind car that has been specially designed by the person you trust best, yourself. At Auto Parts Train they offer a wide array of high quality Toyota parts and accessories.

Concerned citizens and activists, Andy Grant and Taylor Reid launched http://www.AllAboutHybridCars.com in response to rising gas prices, America's dependence on foreign oil and increasing pollution. "I was angry about the continuous increase in the cost of gas and getting such poor mileage in my SUV and hybrid cars seem like the best answer," said Grant, a professional business writer. "So we wrote a book and created a Website to present all the basic facts and keep people updated on developing technology."They feel the subject is an important topic to showcase since hybrid cars will increase in popularity, because they make so much sense economically and environmentally. "There's no better way to reduce our consumption of foreign oil, save money on gas and help the environment," said Reid, a search engine analyst. "Hybrid cars may change the way people view their responsibility as a global citizen.

I know I've changed mine."The book is in the form of an electronic eBook, which can be ordered through the Website and read on the computer or printed out. The Website has extensive information, articles and resources about hybrid cars and other alternative fuels being developed. "The book explains the whats, hows and whys using non-technical language," said Rob Wilder, who wrote the foreword to the book. Wilder, an environmental activist is President of the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Institute. The monthly newsletter keeps people updated on all the new hybrid car releases. "The year 2005 will be the year hybrid cars take off," commented Grant.

"Our Website and newsletter have all the current news as the each manufacturer releases its hybrid." "Californians are forward-thinking and have already invested in hybrid cars," said Reid. "We're hoping the rest of the nation will too."To order a free report, go to http://www.AllAboutHybridCars.com/ebook.htm.

Dog Travel SuppliesBuy dog travel supplies online The shopping part along for dog travel supplies is amusing for sure. The trinkets, toys and accessories for pet product travel are a blast. Grab your favorite drink, your mouse and grease up that shopping finger and off we go to review those dog travel supplies. We found, while shopping for Charlie pet harnesses that combine safety with convenience. The step-in padded harness is easy to fasten to your best pet friend and can also be used as a walking harness. The strap plugs into the car's seat belt buckle receptacle.

It's recommend that for all pet travel you harness your doggie while driving for the protection of passengers and your little best pet friend. Then add a nice durable car seat cover to protect your upholstery and everyone's a happy camper. These covers fit most vans, trucks, SUV's and cars with bench or fold-down seats. The outer shell is 100% polyester with a layer of foam for cushion and comfort. One side is a tan, soft pile and reversible to a durable gray polyester weave.

Easy to care for, simply hand wash with a mild detergent soap and line dry. Measures 48"x 60".Tip: Vehicle barriers and harnesses should always be used when traveling with your dog in a car, van or SUV. They not only protect your dog, but you and your passengers as well.Pet barriers will fit either your Car, Van or Suv. Vehicle barriers should always be used when traveling with your doggie in the car, van or SUV. They not only protect your best pet friend, but you and your passengers as well.

The different styles of pet barriers will allow you to fill your needs. There are barriers for small cars, mini and full size vans and SUV's. We also needed a pet ramp and found training Charlie to use it was pretty simple:Charlie adapted to the ramp easily but we've been told that some of our doggies don't, we suggest you put the ramp flat on the ground & walk your pet friend over it (a reward placed on the ramp also helps or you might try feeding him on the ramp once or twice). When you raise the ramp, your pets favorite treat placed towards the top of the ramp also works the first time.We had fun snooping around for dog travel supplies. Our pets always have softened our hearts, put smiles on our faces and even released stress as our minds went shopping for our family's best pet friend.

Sit back, relax and enjoy yourself after-all think of all the joy those lovable pets of ours bring into our lives..

I was reading "A Modern Infant Armada", a humor column in Maclean's Magazine written by a fellow humor columnist. Writing about it now is a bit like a painter painting another painter or a singer singing about another singer (but it not like a cook cooking another cook.).David Russell (yes, another humor columnist named David) laughs at his neighbor for parking both cars in the driveway to make room in the garage for four strollers for just one child. I laughed with him. Four strollers for just one baby is ridiculous, right? However, David Russell becomes a parent himself, a condition that afflicts many unsuspecting homo sapiens, and he concludes that a call to his neighbor is warranted: "I need to see if he can help me get a fleet rate.""Traitor!" I cried out. "Stroller monger!""Who's a traitor?" my wife asked as she walked in the room.

"And just what is a stroller monger."I resisted the obvious answer ? that a stroller monger is somebody who mongs strollers. "David Russell. He says that one stroller is enough for any child, but then he decides to buy an entire fleet.""Say, we could have saved a bundle if we had applied for a fleet rate," my wife mused."What? We don't have four strollers."My wife smiled. It was a sweet smile you could just fall in love with...if you did not know that it meant, "Oh yes we do!""We do not.""My wife took out her counting fingers. "First there is the car seat," she said, pressing down the first finger.

"We snap it into the stroller base whenever we go anywhere.""OK, that's one.""Then there is the SUV," she said, pressing down on a second finger. The "SUV" is a full sized stroller. We bought it when we were still squeezing it on a downtown apartment. With no storage space, it stood in the entrance area, blocking our path to the kitchen and any hope of escaping if the place caught fire. The SUV is the Hummer of strollers."OK, that is a stroller, I will grant you.

But that's just two.""We also have the fold-up stroller," my wife said, pressing down a third finger."But she's not even using it yet.""She will soon and we have it now," my wife pointed out. "Then there is the old fold-up stroller we kept as a backup. That makes four.""You can't count duplicates. That's double counting.""It takes double the space," my wife insisted. "We have four strollers.I stared in silence.

Slowly it sunk in. Yes, there were two Davids who were humor columnists, but there were also two Davids who were stroller-mongers. Uh-oh. My wife was smiling again. She was watched for just the right moment to strike.

"Our baby has more seats in this house than anybody else has.""That's ridiculous." No sooner had the words left my mouth than I remembered the boomerang rule. Words like ridiculous, ludicrous, silly, stupid and big mouth usually apply only to the person who speaks them.My wife rhymed off our seats, "Three on the couch, two chairs in the living room, six in the kitchen, one in the bathroom and one at each of our desks. Plus the three red chairs Little Lady has in the living room. That makes 17.""Ha!" I knew it couldn't be true. Then came that deadly sweet smile again, the smile that said, "Take my hand while I lead you around the house to see why you should think first and shout 'Aha!' later."In the kitchen stood the high chair and the sit-in play saucer. In her office sat the rocking chair that never rocked and the bouncy chair that never bounced.

There was the swing seat, and there were two cushion seats for sitting upright on the floor. She opened the door to the enclosed porch, and there were the four strollers and the car seat she would soon be using."That makes 12," my wife tallied. "We each have fewer than six."I thought really hard. "Aha!" I said again, proudly pointing out that this time I had thought first and shouted 'Aha!' later.. "We have three chairs on the balcony, and six on the patio.

There are also six folding chairs for the fire pit."Desperate times call for desperate measures, and there was no reason to forget all the outdoors furniture at a time like this. Unfortunately, there was no reason to forget arithmetic, either. Our baby still had the most seats in the house ? and outside the house, too."Uh, do toilet seats count?"My wife smiled her sweet smile again, a smile that could only mean, "So, stroller monger, what do you have to say for yourself now?"I knew that another humor columnist named David had just been labeled a traitor. Meekly, I mumbled. "Lawn tractor seat?".

Like its popular brethren, the CR-V, Odyssey and new Element, the Pilot completes Honda's best-buy SUV and van line. And like any of those offerings or anything else in Honda's arsenal, it's hard to find serious fault with the Pilot.Introduced in late 2003, the Pilot replaced the Passport and it shares the same basic chassis and powertrain as the MDX, the complementary choice from Honda's upscale Acura division. My test drive for the week was the top of the line's EX L 4-door wagon that includes both a navigation system and second seat DVD entertainment system. With those additions, the Pilot further enhances its position at the forefront of the midsize SUV ranks that include the Ford Explorer, Nissan Murano and Toyota Highlander. The three Pilot models all offer a V6, 255-horsepower engine paired only a 5-speed automatic transmission. The HP total represents an increase of six percent from the 2004 model, further adding to the vehicle's status among the quicker midsize SUVs. It has a 0-60 mph test rating of 7.9 seconds.Further performance areas for the Pilot are all at least average or above.

The driver sits "tall" in the vehicle, so steering and handling are fine for the car's type. But it should never be mistaken for anything other than a SUV with cornering limitations.Braking is strong and the standard all-wheel-drive system seems well-suited for trails and in inclement weather conditions.Like other Hondas, controls and instrumentation as well as styling and indoor space are thoughtful and styled simply. The automatic shift lever is located behind the right side of the steering wheel and doesn't block access to other controls. But it's also too easy to shift in and out of transmission settings. The pilot is an eight-passenger vehicle, with little compromise. The second and third-row seats each comfortably seat three passengers.

Although unused during my test week, second and third-seat passengers can view DVDs from a screen that pops down from the second-seat ceiling. Headphones are stored in a map/accessory compartment behind the driver's seat. All three Pilot models have a long list of standard features: tilt steering wheel, cruise control, 60/40 split folding second and third seats, power mirrors, windows and doors locks, remote keyless entry and AM/FM/CD player, among other items. The EX and EX-L models include a six-disc changer, steering wheel radio controls, automatic-off headlights and allow wheels. Leather upholstery, heated front seats, power sunroof and heated power mirrors are standard on the EX-L model only.Despite its best-buy status, the Pilot does have two less-than-spectacular considerations: curtain side airbags are not available on any model, and its fuel rating of 17 in city driving and 22 in highway use is fine for its category but hardly an economical plus.Nevertheless, the Pilot overall is an ideal family vehicle. It's spaciously designed, practical and fits well in the Honda family known not only performance and reliability, but for a strong position in the resale market.2005 Honda PilotSafety features -- Front side airbags, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, rear-obstacle detection system.

tire pressure monitor, rearview camera.Fuel Mileage (estimates) -- 17 mpg (city), 22 mpg (highway).Warranty -- Bumper to bumper, 3 years/36,000 miles; Corrosion, 5 years/unlimited miles.Base price range -- $34,120..

Dogs love car rides but lifting them in and out can be a pain for both the owner and the dog and jumping out of vehicles can damage dog's joints. There are dog ramps to ease the pain but they are so large and bulky that once you stow the ramp there is no room left for Rover. Nu-Tec Designs, which specializes in innovative hitch products, has found a solution to that problem with Trek Dog?, a patent pending, highly portable vehicle access system that provides pet owners with the first compact, lightweight, stable and multi-functional solution to get their pets in and out of their vehicles. Trek Dog will be featured in the new product showcase at the American Pet Products Manufacturers Associations (APPMA) 2004 Annual Pet Products Trade Show March 17-19 in New Orleans, LA."Current pet ramps are six feet long and simply rest on the edge of the tailgate or cargo area. They can sag & wobble making many dogs uncomfortable or unwilling to use them, and veterinarians reluctant to recommend them" says Nu-Tec President, Bill Schlicht.

What sets Trek Dog apart is the innovative hitch-mounted platform with an attachable, folding ramp that can be used separately or together depending on the needs of the dog. The 13"x15" step platform only weighs 4 pounds and has a 300 pound load rating. It simply slides into the hitch receiver and stores in a tote bag when not in use. Many dogs only need the step platform and the ramp can be added later if needed. For dogs that need more help, the ramp unfolds and attaches securely to the platform; it does not sag or wobble.

The complete system only weighs 17 pounds, folds to 23"x16" and stows in a compact, durable tote.
